Congress' work has become unacceptably sloppy

OVER the past several months, the presentation of proposed laws that are poorly written has occurred with increasing frequency. The leadership in both the House and the Senate must disabuse themselves of the notion that their positions are honorifics with no real responsibilities, and take immediate steps to compel the legislators to do their jobs properly. As things stand now, all they are doing is wasting people's time and money.
