KRAMATORSK, Ukraine: Russia continued shelling eastern and southern Ukraine as Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow would only ease the path for Black Sea exports of Ukrainian grain if the West lifted sanctions on his country's shipments.

Moscow's strikes hit the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk on Tuesday, killing one person, local authorities said.
