THE Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) declined by 53.86 points on Monday to close at 6,209.53.

According to Claire Alviar, research associate at Philstocks Financial Inc., most investors were in a wait-and-see mode in anticipation of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s first State of the Nation Address and the Federal Reserve Open Market Committee meeting on July 27.
