THE low pressure area (LPA) last seen over Catanduanes in Bicol Region may remain at the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the next three days but has a slim chance of developing into a tropical depression, the state-run weather agency said on Tuesday.

Aldczar Aurelio, weather specialist of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), told The Manila Times that the weather disturbance was spotted past 3 a.m., Tuesday, some 190 kilometers north-northeast of Virac, Catanduanes or 340kms east of Infanta, Quezon.
