TWO teachers' groups expressed disappointment with the non-inclusion of concrete plans and commitment to teachers' salary increases and benefits and measures to address the learning crisis in the country during the first State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) Chairman Vladimer Quetua said that there were no game-changing measures discussed by the President to curb the learning crisis, while there were also no commitments to increase the education budget and comprehensive measures to ensure students' and teachers' safety for the resumption of full in-person learning.
