A joint project of the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Agriculture, PhilBaking, and the Virgin Coconut Oil Producers and Traders Association of the Philippines Inc., the launch of Pinoy Coco Pandesal serves to address the rising cost of wheat flour in the global market. At the same time, it is an initiative that will benefit coconut farmers in the country.

Pinoy Coco Pandesal is made with 90-percent wheat flour and 10-percent coconut flour, an ingredient that is more sustainable and locally available. In addition, coconut flour is also rich in fiber and is a good source of protein.

Gardenia's Pinoy Coco Pandesal is available in stores and supermarkets nationwide including Puregold, SM, Robinsons, 7-Eleven, South Star, Sta. Lucia, Waltermart, Fishermall and Mercury Drug.
