THE Department of Education (DepEd) estimates that P940 million will be needed to repair 164 schools in Luzon that sustained damage from the earthquake that hit Abra and other areas in Northern Luzon on Wednesday.

The DepEd said 11 of the schools are in Region 3 (Central Luzon), nine in Region 2 (Cagayan Valley), eight in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and seven in Region 1 (Ilocos Region).
