NOW that House Bill (HB) 7775 authored by former lawmaker Frederick Siao (lone district of Iligan City) has lapsed into law, the now mayor of this city over the weekend said he expects that barangay (village) and Sangguniang Kabataan elections or BSKE would be held soonest.
Siao noted that he filed HB 7775 or "An Act Creating Six Barangay (Acmac, Ditucalan, San Roque, Luinab, Upper Hinaplanon and Ubaldo Laya, all in the City of Iligan)" during the 18th Congress.
