Electric cars now at 10 percent in EU

BATTERY electric cars (BEV), according to MoneyTransfers.com, now account for 10 percent of all passenger car registrations in the European Union in the second quarter of 2022.

"The primary source of EU greenhouse gas emissions is the transport industry," said Jonathan Merry, chief executive at MoneyTransfer, speaking on the data. "Without reducing transport-related emissions, one can't achieve the EU's climate neutrality goals."
