LISBON: Portugal has reformed its immigration laws to attract foreign workers as it faces a labor shortage in tourism and construction.
Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa approved on Thursday a new law that provides foreigners seeking employment with a temporary 120-day visa that can be extended by 60 days. The measure will take effect in the next few days.
