TOKYO: Japan's SoftBank Group reported on Monday a record quarterly net loss of $23.4 billion after interest rate hikes tanked technology shares.

The telecommunications company-turned-investment behemoth incurred a net loss of 3.16 trillion yen, nosediving from a net income of 761.5 billion yen in April to June 2021.
