COMMISSION on Higher Education Chairman J. Prospero De Vera 3rd assured the readiness of nearly all higher education institutions (HEIs) nationwide to conduct face-to-face classes for the incoming academic year.

During the Laging Handa Public Briefing on August 2, he said that HEIs were able to implement measures for the safe conduct of in-person learning as some schools have been using this modality since early 2021 when medical and allied health courses were allowed to hold classes inside school premises and guidelines for the general in-person classes were released around November last year, giving schools ample time to prepare for the class opening this academic year.
