I HAVE not seen the other nominated films and performers against which Vince Tañada's "Katips" competed and won in the recently held Famas Awards. I would, however, assume that whoever were the members of the board of judges, that they were fair and competent. Winning seven awards, including Best Picture, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, should be a fair basis to opine that Tañada's work was deserving compared to the rest.
