THE Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and the International Federation of Accountants (IFA) concluded that inequities and exclusive behaviors in the profession are the main reason for the underrepresentation of diverse talent at senior levels.

Their recently released partnership report titled "Diversifying Asia-Pacific Accounting Talent: A Critical Imperative to Achieve Transformational Outcome" focused on diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) issues in the accounting profession across the Asia-Pacific region and presented remedies to the gaps identified.
