THE Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (Opapru) on Wednesday said it expects around 8,000 to 10,000 New People's Army (NPA) fighters to surrender and seek amnesty.
Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. said that more than 26,000 members of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and NPA already laid down their arms.
