DAVAO CITY: The military has declared the whole province of Davao Occidental free of insurgency following the dismantling of the New People's Army (NPA) Guerilla Front Tala previously operating in the province.
Philippine Army 10th Infantry Division spokesman Capt. Mark Anthony Tito said military and local officials declared the province insurgency-free and development-ready on Thursday, August 18.
