THE Court of Appeals (CA) has upheld the indictment of George Sycip and the officers of tuna canning firm Alliance International Inc. who were charged with estafa and violation of the Corporate Code of the Philippines.
In a five-page decision written by Associate Justice Ronaldo Roberto Martin, the CA's former Eighth Division denied the motions for reconsideration filed by the son of the late business tycoon Washington Sycip and the officials of Alliance, including Jonathan Dee and several others.
