VIENTIANE: Thousands of people in northern Laos are enduring flash floods that were brought by heavy rains in recent days.
Of the Southeast Asian country's northern provinces — Oudomxay, Bokeo, Huaphan and Phongsaly — Oudomxay, about 310 kilometers north of the capital Vientiane, has been hit the hardest since last Friday, Lar district chief Houmphan Bouphakham told local media on Monday.
