AGRICULTURE Senior Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban on Wednesday contradicted the claim of the Philippine Sugar Millers Association Inc. (PSMA) that the sugar shortage was not artificial, citing the volume of the sweetener being uncovered in raids being conducted in various warehouses in the country.

Panganiban was reacting to the statement of PSMA President Pablo Lobregat during the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing that sugar is in short supply.
