THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) have started their parallel investigations on the alleged forged signature of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. affixed to a document appointing the head of the Bureau of Immigration (BI).
The questioned document, dated July 22, 2022, named the lawyer of former president Joseph Estrada, Abraham Espejo, as the new BI commissioner.
