THE Department of Health (DoH) has signed a joint memorandum with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) allowing cancer patients to have access to funding for their treatment.
The Cancer Assistance Fund (CAF), a mechanism under Republic Act 11215 or the "National Integrated Cancer Control Act" (Nicca), allows cancer patients access to free medicine under the Cancer and Supportive Palliative Medicines Access Program (CSPMAP).
