Dear PAO,

My brother is scheduled to renew his driver's license next month. However, we are confused as to the correct duration of the validity of a renewed driver's license. Some of our friends say that the renewed license will be valid for 10 years, while some say that it is for a shorter period of five years. From what I remember, driver's licenses are only valid for three years. What does the law say about this? Does it depend on whether the license is professional or nonprofessional driver's license?
