"JOSIE" reached super typhoon category but it did no damage to the country because it left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) four hours after it entered, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Saturday.

Weather specialist Benison Estareja told The Manila Times that "Josie" entered PAR at 5:40 p.m and exited around 10 p.m. on Friday.
