BACOLOD CITY: The 94th Infantry Battalion (94IB) recovered a cache of explosives and ammunition at an abandoned camp of the New People's Army in Sitio Double Yarding, Barangay Mahalang, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental on Thursday.
BGen. Inocencio Pasaporte, 303rd Infantry Brigade commander, said that after receiving information from former rebels, soldiers from the 94IB troopers unearthed 10 improvised landmines, composed of eight antipersonnel mines and two antitank explosives, and 1,932 live ammunition for caliber 30 machine gun.
