JAPANESE Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has vowed to offer support to the Philippines on agricultural and fisheries value chains and the collection of small and light arms in Mindanao.

Kishida made the commitment to Vice President Sara Duterte who paid a courtesy visit on Monday to express her condolences on the passing of former prime minister Shinzo Abe. Duterte attended the state funeral for Abe who was assassinated by a lone gunman on July 8, 2022 as he was campaigning for his party.
