CCL to help train PMMA cadets

FILIPINOS continue to be the seafarers of choice for the cruise industry. As the industry emerges from the pandemic, global cruise leader Carnival Cruise Line (CCL) is exerting extra efforts in a bid to ensure the company's steady supply of qualified and competent Filipino marine officers in the future.

CCL has forged a partnership with the country's leading maritime institution, the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA), to offer cadets of the state-run school assured cadetship berths on board any of its 23 luxury ships, on one hand, and secured jobs for the students upon their graduation, on the other.
