ON Saturday, the 8th of October 2022, the administration of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Romualdez Marcos Jr. (BBM) turned 100 days old after being catapulted to power by an avalanche of votes — 31,629,783 — unprecedented in the history of Philippine politics. And as soon as he was proclaimed 17th President of the Republic, two out of three or some 68 percent of Filipinos interviewed by PUBLiCUS Asia expected him to perform "well" or "very well." Only 14 percent were unconvinced and also expected him to fare "poorly" or "very poorly," while 7 percent were unsure of what to expect. And while it still a long way before this administration relinquishes the reins of power to the next, every Filipino makes his own sense of it as it crosses the 100-day mark.
