BANGKO Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Felipe Medalla said the Philippine economy is in a much stronger position now than during the 2008-2009 Global Financial Crisis.
Medalla made the statement during the 2022 Annual Reception for the Banking Community on Friday, citing that the country's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 7.8 percent in the first half of this year.
