Covid-19-related claim payouts made by insurers, health maintenance organizations (HMOs) and mutual benefit associations (MBAs) reached P1.18 billion as of June 2022, data from the Insurance Commission (IC) show.
According to IC, payouts by the life insurance sector constituted 74 percent of Covid-19 claims from April to June 2022, totaling P877.30 million.
