SOME 616 aftershocks ranging from magnitude 1.4 to 4.8 have been recorded over the past 24 hours following a magnitude 6.4 earthquake in Abra province, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said on Thursday.

Phivolcs said the latest number of aftershocks were recorded as of 7 a.m, seven of which were felt in the province and adjoining areas.
