THE deployment some 20,000 newly hired overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), mostly household service workers (HSWs) starts today, Monday, as the ban on the sending of workers to Saudi Arabia is lifted following talks between the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's (KSA) Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

The workers were not able to leave because of the effects of Severe Tropical Storm "Paeng."
