CABARROGUIS, Quirino: A prospective buyer in Japan is eyeing to import ube (purple yam) product from this province for its mass production of ice cream in the said country, according to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Region 2.
According to Manilyn Castañeda Ponce, DTI Region 2 information officer, an initial 20 kilos of Quirino province's ube powder was received by a buyer in Japan who intends to use the raw material that was manufactured by JaBes of Quirino State University (QSU).
