THE Department of Health (DoH) is hopeful that the Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital (STRH) would be converted into a Level 2 hospital by June 2023 once the reforms under the law mandating its conversion into a 100-bed hospital are met.
Under Republic Act 11233 signed by then president Rodrigo Duterte in 2019, the former 25-bed Bacoor District Hospital has been upgraded into the Level 3 Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital with a maximum capacity of 100 beds.
