THE Philippine government represented by the Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) and France through its embassy in the Philippines have agreed to strengthen maritime safety and security, particularly in the shipbuilding and ship repair industry in the country.

Marina Administrator Hernani Fabia and the Embassy of France to the Philippines Economic Service head Olivier Ginepro signed the memorandum of agreement (MoA) on November 8.
