AGRICULTURE Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban on Tuesday said the government is considering the importation of 7,000 metric tons of red onions as retail prices have reached P300 per kilo.
Panganiban said he already tasked the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) to determine if there is a shortage in the supply of red onions as prices continue to increase despite the imposition of a P170 suggested retail price (SRP).
