SUSPENDED Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Gerald Bantag is said to be looking for the Yamashita treasure so he ordered the excavation inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said this was what Bantag told him around August or September of this year.
