Kris Aquino seen undergoing a test in an Instagram post back in March.

KRIS Aquino on Thursday afternoon gave her followers an update on her health condition through an Instagram post and shared that she will be extending her stay in the United States.

According to the 51-year-old showbiz personality, she has already filed their papers with the US Immigration and will not leave the country until the extension is granted for her to undergo more series of tests regarding her autoimmune diseases.

"Tinitiis yung matinding sakit (sagad sa buto) while allergic to all pain relievers; the constant fatigue, awful sense of balance, nonstop dry cough and shortness of breath; yung sobrang pag-iingat (I'm so immunocompromised- since June I've NEVER been to a restaurant, NEVER entered a store, supermarket, or a mall)," Aquino wrote in her post.

As of this Thursday, Aquino has been diagnosed with chronic spontaneous urticaria, autoimmune thyroiditis, and late stage 3 of churg strauss syndrome now also known as EGPA.

She mentioned that it will likely be more than 18 months of diagnosis and treatment as she has also signed up in a hospital's center for those with rare and undiagnosed illnesses.

"My last set of test results were conflicting; that's why I chose to have my full diagnosis and treatment with a team of multidisciplinary doctors. Iba ang process dito. My 1st step was submitting all my medical records from 2018 when my autoimmune was 1st diagnosed in Singapore; I had a teleconsult [with] the assigned doctor-coordinator for me, then we'll do a video consult in 2 weeks. I'll be admitted early 2023 to undergo every imaginable test they'll deem necessary," she said.

"After my results, the team shall decide what treatment will be best because the coordinator admitted I'm a 'challenge' since I'm allergic to so many types of medicine including all steroids. Pang case study daw ako – one person with multiple autoimmune conditions and over 100 known allergic or adverse reactions to medication," she continued.

Sharing a picture of her sons Josh and Bimby, Aquino said they are the reasons why she continues to fight her illnesses.

"They are my reasons kung bakit tuloy ang laban, bawal sumuko. I pray for the blessing to be healthy enough to still be their mama – the one who would cook, travels for fun, goes to Church, and watches movies [with] them. All in God's perfect time," she said.

Greeting everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.,Aquino then thanked people who have been praying for her healing which includes her friends that are members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo who made a trip to anoint her with healing oil and shared the Biblical healing verses that she now includes in her daily prayers. She also thanked the Carmelite sisters in Quezon and Archbishop Socrates Villegas.
