Co-op opens bidding for additional power supply

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro: To address the lingering power supply problem in the province, the local electric cooperative here has opened the bidding process for power producers for the construction, installation, operation and maintenance of power plants for a 41-megawatts power supply.

The Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Ormeco), in a public notice, a copy of which was furnished to The Manila Times on Wednesday, invites "all power suppliers for the procurement of power supply agreements (PSAs) for the load requirement of the province of Oriental Mindoro with a baseload of 8 MW, 30 MW for load-following and 3MW for peaking."
