THE Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Saturday that 164 members of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army (CPP-NPA) have surrendered to different police units in Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) from January to November 24 this year.

Police Regional Office (PRO)-4B chief BGen. Sidney Hernia said the PNP's intensified counter-insurgency campaign has continued to convince more CPP-NPA members to return to the folds of law and live with their families.
