BAGUIO CITY: The Department of Energy (DoE) has recently endorsed the 3.2-megawatt (MW) Man-asok mini-hydro power plant of the Benguet Electric Cooperative (Beneco) after it has complied with the pertinent requirements under the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9513 otherwise known as the "Renewable Energy Act of 2008."

Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla also declared that the power plant located in Sebang, Buguias, Benguet is eligible to operate under the feed-in tariff (FIT) system. It is capable of producing 14.688 gigawatt-hour annual generation.
