MANILA Electric Co. (Meralco) on Wednesday said it was working to mitigate the impact on customers' bills following the termination of a 670-megawatt (MW) supply deal.

It confirmed receipt of a notice of cessation of supply from SMC Global Power unit South Premiere Power Corp. (SPPC), which followed the issuance of a Court of Appeals order restraining regulatory disapproval of a temporary rate hike.
