MANUFACTURING output rose in October, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported on Wednesday, with both volume and value growth improving from a month earlier.
Results of the latest Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries showed a 5.1-percent gain in the volume of production index (VoPI), up from September's revised 4.1 percent. The growth, however, was slower compared to the 27 percent recorded a year earlier.
