THE Covid-19 pandemic pushed many Philippine businesses and establishments to go digital and online to make the future of digital transformation (DX) in the country look bright and lucrative. In fact, DX in the country is predicted to generate up to P5 trillion in revenues by 2030. The Department of Communication and Information Technology (DICT) assures that the government sector is well on its way to fulfill the promises of the DX roadmap. Also, the Department of Trade and Industry is urging the small business sector toward digitalization.

However, the adoption of new technology LIKE DX could pose unexpected challenges to industry and consumers as well. Speaking to The Manila Times, Daniel Jaeger, head of Southeast Asia at Nokia, allayed those fears as he discussed the technological advances adopted by global companies in their digital transformation journey as well as how these innovations will change the business landscape in the next 10 years.
