Firecracker-related injuries down

THE Department of Health (DoH) recorded 137 incidents of fireworks-related injuries (FWRIs) on Sunday, January 1. This is a 15 percent decrease from 2021, with the majority of cases coming from the National Capital Region (NCR).

Health Officer in Charge Maria Rosario Vergeire provided updates on injuries caused by fireworks during a media forum in Baguio City.
