THE elite of this country are clueless about how Filipinos think. It probably has to do with the way their elitist parents brought them up.

Cambridge Dictionary defines the elite as "the richest, most powerful, best educated or best-trained group in a society." Elitism, on the other hand, according to the same dictionary, means "the belief that some things are only for a few people who have special qualities or abilities."
