Former Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) chairman Manuel "Manolo" Lopez, who among other posts also served as Philippine ambassador to Japan during the second Aquino government's term, passed away on Thursday, January 12. He was 80 years old.
No cause of death was given for Lopez, who was the youngest of the Lopez Group founder Eugenio Lopez Sr.'s four children.
