FORMER Malacañang spokesman and lawyer Harry Roque has called on the government to appeal the Supreme Court's (SC) ruling that voided the 2005 Joint Maritime Seismic Undertaking (JMSU) of the Philippines with Chinese and Vietnamese oil firms.

In a statement on his Facebook page on Thursday, Roque said the ruling was unconstitutional, noting that the agreement is covered by the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (Unclos) definition of "territorial sea."
