THE low pressure area (LPA) off Surigao del Norte is still bringing rains in parts of the country but it would be generally fair weather within the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Monday.

According to weather forecaster Obet Badrina, the LPA, which is expected to dissipate in 48 hours, was estimated over the coastal waters of Lanuza town, also in the province.
