THERE will come a time when local or local government chiefs (LGCs) — from governors to the mayors or even the barangay (village) chiefs — will also become the prime movers in making localities teeming with prosperous farmers and fishers, and reducing poverty through agri-industrial development.
I can even declare that LGCs can become the "new champions" for food security as the world is still reeling from the "Three Big Cs," namely climate change, Covid-19 pandemic and the geopolitical conflicts.
