ZURICH, Switzerland: President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. said the Philippines is walking a fine line between the United States (US) and China to avoid being "trampled" by two competing superpowers in their continuing contest for dominance in the region.

In an interview, Marcos said the Philippines is increasing its cooperation with the US and developing mechanisms to defuse tension with China amid the intense geopolitical rivalry in the Asia Pacific region.
